What is Forest View Childers

Forest View Childers was evolved from a need recognised by the Community to provide Accommodation for the elder community. The Forest View Childers Inc Management Committee was formed in 1974.

In 1979, Forest View opened the first Retirement Village Units. Over the years the Village has been added to with construction of both rental and licensed units. There are now 34 Units in the Village and a Village Hall, BBQ area and Palliative Care House.

In 1993 Forest View Aged Care Facility was officially opened. There are 27 rooms in the facility including a respite room for short term stay. Ageing-in-place is promoted.

Forest View Home Care Consumer Directed Care Packages commenced operation in 1997. This valuable service provides care support for persons living in our village units or in their own homes in the community.
